    Mr. Larry J. Meers, P.E., CEO of Meers Engineering, Inc. was employed by Tippett & Gee from 1973 until 1995.  During those twenty-two (22) years, he served as the Project Engineer for all substation and transmission projects for the City of Garland.  Additionally, he was responsible for the electrical for Ray Olinger No. 3 generating plant and several modifications and additions to the plant.  These include Back-Up Power, CEM Units, Heavy Fuel Oil Conversion, Boiler Modifications and assisted in Control System upgrade.

    Meers Engineering, Inc. was established in January 1995.  We have had steady growth from a sole proprietorship to eighteen (18) full time employees.  We are a full service engineering firm offering civil/structural, mechanical and electrical engineering design expertise plus project management and inspection services.

    Our personnel have experience in utility, industrial, and commercial project design plus project management.

    Meers Engineering, Inc. is a financially sound company, which is committed to staying on the leading edge of technology.  We utilize eighteen (18) computers, one (1) Windows file server, and one (1) web server.  We also have multiple printing, plotting, and scanning capabilities.  These printers, plotters, and scanners include a Xerox 6204 combination plotter and scanner (A - E Size), an HP500 color plotter (A - E Size), and two (2) HP8150 laserjet printers (Letter or 11" x 17").   Preparations of documents are handled by using AutoCAD Release 2008, the Microsoft Office Suite and several CAD add-ons including CADWorx Plant and GTX RasterCAD Plus.

    Meers Engineering, Inc. has the capability of scanning prints to file or reproducing multiple copies.

    We utilize SKM programs for Short Circuit/Load Flow/Coordination Studied and associated reports.

    Meers Engineering, Inc.'s philosophy is based on a Christian ethic.  Our mission statement is Philippians 1:27-2:4 which concludes with the idea of putting others (our clients) first.

    The consulting engineering business is a service industry.  The client's needs, desires and well being must be our first order of business.  There will be projects where the best arrangement is for the engineer to take a strong lead and the client will have minimal involvement.  There will be other projects where the engineer serves as a supportive partner and/or provides input and opinion when requested.

    Meers Engineering, Inc. is very comfortable with either role or a role that would fit between the two extremes.
